Place butter in a 10x15 jelly roll pan. Place in oven until butter melts. Add potatoes. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Toss until potatoes are thoroughly coated. Spread out into even layer.
Bake 20 minutes. Turn. Sprinkle with bacon and cheese. Continue baking 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender, crust and golden brown.
