My mother's best friend gave us her recipe for her stuffed mushrooms. They are ALWAYS requested. They are the best stuffed mushrooms ever!
Preheat oven to 350*. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, but not burnt. While bacon is cooking, put cream cheese, seasoning salt in a bowl. Drain off grease from bacon reserving 1 Tbsp of it. Add the grease to the cream cheese, then add in the bacon. Mix the cream cheese, bacon, salt and grease together well. Add a teaspoon of the mixture to the inside of the the whole (stemless) mushoom and place on a baking pan (with sides to catch juices) repeat until all mushrooms are stuffed and on the baking pan. Put in oven and allow to cook for approximately 20 minutes. Tops will be lightly browned and the mushrooms will be done and juices in the bottom of the pan. Remove from oven and then put mushrooms on serving platter or plate. Serve immediately!
