This is a general recipe for freezer jams using different fruits. The "current" recipe is always found inside the box of Sure-Jell.
Thoroughly wash and dry freezer containers (I use 1-cup containers). Using the proportions given above, mix sugar into fruit. Stir very well to dissolve the sugar. Add 1 pkg Sure-Jell to 3/4 cup water and boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Then stir the Sure-Jell/water mixture into the fruit mixture. Stir for three minutes. Add 2 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tsp ascorbic acid (or other additions called for in the Sure-Jell directions) and stir thoroughly. Pour into clean containers, leaving head space for expansion. Allow to set at room temperature for up to three days before freezing.
Note: not all recipes call for lemon juice, so be sure to follow package directions.
