Soup made from lentils, ham hock and vegetables.
Soak lentils in water for 1 1/2 hours; drain. Boil water, add ham and lentils. In frying pan, sautée bacon, carrots, onions and celery and add to broth. Cook until soup thickens. Add stewed tomatoes and seasonings. Allow soup to simmer for 1 hour. Remove ham bones and serve.
