Place green beans and water in microwave safe bowl. Cover and cook 6 - 7 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium low heat. As butter bubbles it will start to turn brown and give off a nutty aroma. Once it has reached a light brown color, add garlic, cooked and drained beans and pine nuts. Toss to combine and sauté 1 minute until heated through.
Serve immediately.
