Brown ham in small amount of butter. Remove from 3-qt. pot. Saute onions, jalapenos, thyme and bay leaf in butter for 10 minutes. Add broth, potatoes, peppers, corn and ham. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer 25 minutes or until potatoes are done. Remove bay leaf. Add whipping cream. Simmer 5 minutes and serve. (Do not boil again.)
