Easy to make dish. Kid Friendly
Stir together well the diced onion, sour cream, grated cheese, thinly sliced butter, and cream of chicken soup. Add the hash browns and mix well until all the hash browns are coated.
Spread the mixture evenly into a casserole dish and top with the potatoe chips. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 F for 1 to 1 /12 hours.
For variety you can use diffrent Lay's potatoe chips, such as regular, vinegar and salt, cheddar and sour cream.
You can also add in cooked skinless boneless chicken breasts. About 4 breasts cooked and cut up.
