In large crock pot on medium high, let warm up a couple minutes while doing your veg chopping prep and remove sausage casings. 2 turns of EVOO. Add sausage and break up, add crushed red pepper. Cook until slightly browned. Add onions and green pepper. Add salt and pepper. Cook until softened and onions are translucent. Turn heat down to medium and add garlic and cook a couple minutes longer until flavors combined (smell is blended). Add can of italian sauce and crushed tomatoes. Stir to combine all together. Add sugar, italian seasonings, and salt and pepper to taste. Keep stirring occasionally until it boils. Turn heat to low. Let simmer until pasta is done.
