"Great recipe! I've been getting flat cookies with the regular Toll House recipe on the back of the chocolate chip package, but these came out great. I am making them for a friend. I'm doing teaspon-sized drops onto the cookie sheet, so this recipe is going to make about a billion cookies.
Thanks for posting!"
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in bowl, set aside. Cream together butter and shortening;add sugars, and vanilla;beat well. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. gradually beat in flour mixture, stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 9-11 minutes at 375 degrees F.
Recipe By: Nestle. NOTES : Everyone loves these cookies. Nestle used to have both the butter and shortening in their recipe, and I keep using both because it comes out better.

dianaditty 1 year agoThe shortening does make the cookies thicker and softer. I've made these more times than I can count.
