1 cup of sugar
Add 1/2 Cup Water in a sauce pan and mix well
Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes
Remove from the heat
Put the 8 Tbls BUTTER in a 3 quart baking dish and place in oven to melt
Mix remaining 1 cup of SUGAR 1 1/2 Cup self Rising FLOUR and 1 1/2 MILK slowly to prevent clumping
Pour mixtur over melted butter Do not stir
Spoon fruit on top gently pouring in Syrup
Sprinkle top with cinnamon
Batter will rise to top during baking
Preheat oven to 350
Cook 30-45 minutes
