Low Sodium, No Salt, Buiscuit Recipe
Preheat oven to 350? F. Lightly beat egg with softened butter, buttermilk or powdered buttermilk, cider vinegar and stir.
With a wooden spoon, stir together the flour, Ener-G, Featherweight baking powder, sugar. If using honey instead of sugar, fold into dry with the mixed wet. Mix with wood spoon until slightly crumbly. Do not over mix.
*Quick stir until crumbly -- Ener-G and Featherweight become active right away. It can't be allowed to sit.
Work quickly. Drop with a large spoon on lightly greased baking sheet. Press down once slightly, pushing ball down to about 3/4" or 1".
For perfectly round shaped biscuits, press the dough down once on a lightly floured board until about 3/4" thick. Cut with biscuit cutter and set on sheet.
Bake at 350o F for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
Can also be baked at 425? F for 12 to 14 minutes.
