Cut onions into 1 inch pieces; set aside green parts to use later. Cut asparagus into 2 inch pieces.
On large rimmed baking pan, spread tomatoes, asparagus and white part of onions; drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired. Roasted 12 to 14 minutes or until about half of tomatoes burst, stirring vegetables once halfway through cooking. Toss green portion of onions into vegetables just before serving.
