A family recipe that has been handed down through generations
pull out all your ingredients and make sure you have the ingredients on hand you can substitute ground beef with ground turkey and the brown sugar with white sugar.
while the ground beef is browning cut up the onion into 4 parts and the bell pepper seeded put into the food processor and chop it up into small fine pieces they will cook better and will be well hidden from the eyes of children who would normally turn their noses up at the onions and bell pepper.
in a food processor combine onion and bell pepper and chop up until they are into tiny pieces this is so they cook faster and can be hidden from children who do not like these two ingredients. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet drain when it is finished return back to a flame on med temp and add the ingredients one at a time stir the meat together with the ingredients you will see that all the meat I covered with the ketchup and ingredients right away if you have stirred it properly. Do not add more ketchup if you feel you need to keep stirring for approximately 15 minutes until the pepper and onion is cooked. serve on buns or Kaiser rolls and compliment it with potato salad or French fries or whatever you feel is a great side dish we serve it with cucumber salad and potato salad
