Topping: Add 2 cups boiling water to jello; mix well. Add strawberries and cool mixture until thick.
Crust: melt butter; add sugar. Crush pretzels and to mixture. Press into bottom of greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake 10 min. at 350 degrees; cool well.
Filling: Combine cream cheese & 1 cup sugar; beat well. Add Cool Whip and spread over cooled crust. Pour thickened jello over filling & set until firm. Cover w/foil & refrigerate for 2 hrs.
