Preheat oven to 325. Line 66 mini muffin cups with foil or paper liners. In large bowl, stir together cake mix, sweet potato, buttermilk, oil and eggs til smooth. Divide evenly among prepared muffin cups. Bake for 15 minutes or til wooden pick inserted into centers of cupcakes comes out clean. let cool in pans for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from pans, and let cool completely on wire racks. Frost with Spiced Maple Butter cream.
Spice maple buttercream:
In large bowl, mix cream cheese and butter. Beat at medium speed with mixer til creamy. Gradually add maple syrup, beating after each addition til smooth. Add pumpkin pie spice and salt. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating til smooth.
