Suggest a better descriptionWash, then slice cucumbers 1/16 inch from the blossom ends, but leave 1/4 inch of stems on. Combine water & salt in a bowl until salt is dissolved, then add the cucumbers. Place a plate on cucumbers to keep them submerged & let stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Drain, cover cucumbers with boiling water, and quickly drain again. Pack into hot pint jars.
Heat vinegar & sugar in a saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Tie spices in a cloth & add. Bring just to a boil and remove spice bag. Add hot vinegar solution to jars. Leave 1/2 inch headspace, and process for 10 minutes.
