"Awesome recipe. I followed the recipe exactly, including doubling the brownie batter for a 13 x 9 pan. Also increased cooking time to 30 minutes, checking with a toothpick every 2 minutes after 25 to come out clean with a few crumbs. Used walnuts on half by spreading half the batter, adding nuts, the covering with remaining batter. Also sprinkled some nuts on top for good measure. Very rich, fudgey sweet and chewy result. Superb."


Ingredients

Are you making this? 
Brownies:
0.5 cup Butter
6 tb cocoa
1 cup Sugar
0.75 cup Flour
2 Eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
pecans and walnuts
Frosting:
0.5 cup Butter
4 tb cocoa
6 tb milk
1 tsp vinegar
1 pound powdered sugar
1 tsp Vanilla

Preparation

Brownies:

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add cocoa, sugar and eggs. mix well. Add flour and mix again. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in greased 8 x 8 pan. 350* 20-22 minutes. Recipe must be doubled to put in a 13 x 9 pan, which is just the right size for the frosting recipe below.

Frosting:

Mix milk and vinegar. Heat butter, milk and cocoa to boiling. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla and sugar. Pour onto brownies. Frosting will be runny but it hardens as it cools.

Made these today, they are all gone. I never have luck with brownie recipes, no idea why, just never happy. These were fantastic, omitted the nuts and the frosting, just a preference thing. So happy to have found this recipe, thank you, thank you, thank you

Easy recipe! I don't think I'll ever make boxed brownies again!! I cooked for 15 minutes in an 8x8 pan which turned out perfect.

Many that have tried this recipe have omitted the frosting....the frosting is what makes these brownies so fudge-like....you MUST give them a try following the entire recipe....you will be AMAZED!!!! YUM!!

These brownies were very easy to make and turned out delicious. Fudgy and not too sugary sweet. Didn't frost them. They don't need it. Kind of thin but we liked them that way. Not sure why a couple of reviewers said they were dry. Must have made them incorrectly. I will surely make them Again.

Easy and delish! I will definitely double the recipe next time because they were very thin in the 6x11 pan I baked them in. I mixed everything in together after I melted the butter instead of in stages, and they were still perfect! I didn't try the frosting.
