Our family loves this soup. It seems to help fight colds or at least cold symptoms, but we like it anytime, not just when we're sick!
"I made it without spices since I don't like spices food. It turned out really good, though next time I may add some more ginger and garlic to add some flavor. Easier than I thought it would be to make."
1. Saute chicken with mushrooms, celery, and jalapenos in the vegetable oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the chicken turns white.
2. In a soup pot, bring coconut milk and broth to a boil. Reduce heat. Add the partly cooked chicken, ginger, fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, cayenne, and salt. Simmer until the chicken is done, 10-15 minutes.
3. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and serve.

jhaus 2 months agoThis recipe is FANTASTIC. I add other veggies to it sometimes and serve it with rice. Use light coconut milk. It's a third of the calories and the same deliciousness.

Stachanna 6 months agoI did not add the recommended amount of sugar and totally omitted the celery. Mainly because I don't like cooked celery. I added 3 spoonfuls of sugar instead and kicked up the heat with more cayenne. This was delicious and super easy. It's definitely going on my roster of soups from now on! Delish.
risingjm 7 months agoSuper easy and great as soup or over rice. I can't have fish sauce, so I mixed soy sauce and a tablespoon of hoisin sauce together. I will for sure make this again!!

rowanmountain 9 months agoDelicious!! All I added was some minced garlic that I wanted to use up. Increased all quantities, as I had extra chicken thighs in the packsge.
yayai 11 month agoAt last I found the variation of coconut tomyam from my fav Thai restaurant..I added more birds eye chili peppers, a few slices of galangal n a keffir lime leaf to bring out the flavour more..thumbs up!
