Just a nice bread recipe that I found that is easy, few ingredients, and creates a nice crunchy crust.
Whisk the flour, yeast and salt together in a large bowl.
Pour in the water and gently mix together with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon. The dough should sticky. Shape into a ball.
Cover the dough tightly with plastic wrap and set on counter at room temp and let rise for 3 hours
Dust a baking sheet. Cut the dough in half with a sharp knife. Shape into 2 long loaves. Score the loaves with 3 slashes if desired.
Let rise for another 45 minutes. During this time preheat the oven to 475.
For a crispy crust, place a shallow metal or pan or pie dish with boiling water on the bottom rack. Quickly place the bread in and close door to trap steam inside.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown and taping sounds hollow.
