Frozen hash brown potatoes combined with cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion and cheddar cheese with a buttery cracker crust.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease one 8" x 12" baking dish.
3. Over medium heat, cook onion until soft.
4. In a large bowl, combine the onion, potatoes, sour cream, cheese, pepper and hot sauce.
5. Mix well and pour into baking dish.
6. Bake for 50 minutes.
7. In a saute pan, heat butter or magarine and crackers.
8. Cook until golden brown.
9. Spinkle over casserole and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
