Suggest a better descriptionSeason the chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside.
In a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp. of butter.
Immediately add the pork shops and cook until brown, about 3 minutes per side.
Transfer to a plate and set aside. Let rest for 3 minutes.
Return skillet to medium-high head, and melt 1 tbsp. butter.
Add the apples and onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and cayenne.
Add the liquids and then pork chops, nestling them in the liquid, and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side.
Let the chops rest for 3 minutes and serve with the apple mixture spooned on top.
Great with Spiced Sweet Potato Wedges.
