Suggest a better descriptionCut butter into flour, using a pastry cutter. Combine water, vinegar and egg yolks in small bowl. Stir into flour mixture, until just blended. Remove to lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, dough will be somewhat sticky. Form into 2 balls, wrap and chill for 2-3 hours, or overnight. Return dough to room temp for next steps.
Roll each ball on a lightly floured surface, into a rectangle, rolling dough as thin as possible. Mix apples, raisins, nuts, sugar and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Spread each one with half of the apple mixture.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll strudel up jelly roll fashion, starting from the long end. Do not overstuff. Using a long metal spatula, carefully transfer strudels to a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven and glaze with a thin coating of frosting. Serve warm. Makes 2 strudels.
