Suggest a better descriptionDirections Cook House-Autry Stone Ground Yellow Grits as directed on packet. Once grits have cooked for 5 minutes, stir in cheddar cheese, jalapeno, and 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Continue to cook until grits are tender and done. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. Keep warm. Shrimp: Meanwhile, add 1 tbsp. butter and flour into a medium sauce pan. Mix together on high heat forming a roux. Once roux is paste texture and medium brown in color, add in chicken stock and House-Autry Bold and Zesty Sauce. Whisk together for 1 minute on high heat. Add in Andouille sausage, shrimp, 1/2 jalapeno, 1 tbsp. butter, and red onion. Simmer until vegetables are soft and shrimp are bright pink. Remove skillet from heat and set aside.
Plating: Divide grits among bowls, forming a well in center. Spoon shrimp mixture into center of grits and enjoy.
