Suggest a better description1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the pie crust on the baking sheet and poke the bottom with a fork in multiple places. Set aside.
2. Sprinkle ½ of the cheese and ½ of bacon on the bottom of the crust.
3. In a bowl combine the eggs, cream, milk, chives, garlic salt, mustard, pepper, salt, onion powder and nutmeg. Whisk ingredients together, but don't overmix.
4. Add the remaining crumbled bacon to the bowl and stir.
5. Pour into the pie shell and top with remaining cheese.
6. Place into the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until lightly golden and the center is set.
7. Allow to rest on the counter for 30-60 minutes before attempting to cut.
You can substitute regular bacon, but I find the maple bacon as just the right amount of sweetness to the quiche.
