Creamy, spicy and loaded with cheese - the perfect party appetizer!
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with foil and coat with cooking spray.
2. Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds and ribs.
3. In a medium bowl mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion powder, salt and pepper.
4. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
5. Wrap each pepper with 1/2 slice of pre-cooked bacon, secure with a toothpick.
6. Arrange the peppers on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until the bacon is crispy and browned.
7. Serve hot.
Note:
If you oven-bake your bacon, you can put bacon on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, put into cold oven and set for 400°F. Set timer for about 15 minutes. Bacon will be cooked about 1/2 the way. By the time you have the peppers wrapped, the oven will be ready.
