2. Grease and flour pans
3. Sift flour, powder, soda, salt, nutmeg and set aside
4. Cream shortening and sugar
5. Add egg and beat until fluffy
6. Stir in bran
7. Add mashed banana, grated orange rind, and water
8. Gradually add sifted mixture from step 3, stir just to blend
9. Spoon into greased and floured pans, spread evenly
10. Bake for 50-60mins
