Banana bread recipe for a 9" by 5" bread loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Combine the wet ingredients: mashed bananas, butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Use a large bowl.
Pour in the banana mixture into the flour mixture as you stir. Mix it well.
Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan. Fold in oats along the top layer. Sprinkle remaining oats over top.
Bake it for 60 minutes.
