A rich and hearty yet low calorie main dish.
Place onion in an eletric slow cooker coated with cooking spray.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; coat pan with cooking spray. Add steak; cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Place steak over onion in cooker; pour tomatoes, molasses, salt and beer over steak. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Add carrots, turnips, large onion, celery bay leaves and garlic cloves to steak. Cover and cook on low for another 2 hours or until steak is tender and vegetables are fork-tender.
Serve over or with mashed potatoes.
