Sweet broccoli salad served cold

lightly steam broccoli (shock cool) or can use raw broccoli. Cut the broccoli into bite size pieces. Fry the bacon and break into small pieces. Mix the broccoli, onion, nuts, raisins, and bacon together. In a separate bowl mix the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar together and poor over the broccoli. Mix well and chill.
*can use purple onion (soak in water to take edge off purple onion), sugar can be 1/4, 1/3, or 1/2 (I used 1/4 cup sugar)
**onion can be 1 medium onion, 1/2 cup, or 2 Tbsp (I used 1 Tbsp white onion)
