Brown 1 1/2 stick (12 tbs) butter, remove from heat into a heat-proof bowl. Cool in freezer 10-15 min,
Oven to 350. Parchment onto sheet pans
Mix remaining 1/2 stick of butter, cooled brown butter and brown sugar. Until combined. Beat in maple syrup, apple butter, egg, and vanilla...beat until creamy. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Fold in chips and pecans.
Roll dough in tbs rounds.
Bake for 8 min. Remove and tap on counter 2x to flatten. Bake 1-2 more minutes until set.Tap again 2 times and cool on sheep pan.
Make the glaze; melt butter and syrup-whisk in sugar pinch of salt.
