From Paula Deen - Just Desserts cookbook
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease an 8 inch square pan.
Stir together egg, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt into another bowl.
Quickly stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
Add nuts and spread into pan.
Bake for 18-20 minutes
Cookies should be soft in center.
Cut into squares
