Cabbage Salad

2 lbs cabbage shredded
1 green pepper diced
1 carrot grated
½ onion grated
Dressing:
2 T. cold water
1 ½ tsp gelatin
¾ cup sugar
½ cup vinegar
½ tsp celery seed
½ tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
½ cup salad oil
Combine cabbage, pepper, carrot & onion
Place in plastic bag in refrigerator for awhile
Drain before adding rest of ingredients
Dissolve gelatin in cold water.
Heat sugar & vinegar to boiling point
Cool – add gelatin and water mixture
Chill until it becomes consistency of cream
Add celery seed, salt, pepper & salad oil
Add this to vegetables which have been drained
Mix and refrigerate 24 hours before serving
