Slice the calamondins in half. Remove seeds using tip of knife. Coarsely chop the cut and seeded calamondin in a food processor using pulses to avoid pureeing.
Put the chopped calamondin into a saucepan with sugar and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for approximately 10-15 minutes until it thickens, darkens, and most of peel becomes translucent.
