Suggest a better descriptionSpray large shallow roasting pan with nonstick spray. Combine popcorn and nuts in pan, place in 250F oven whil preparing glaze.
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar, butter and salt in 2 quart heavy saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat (approx 7 minutes). Without stirring, boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
Pour glaze over warm popcorn and nuts, stirring to coat. Bake in 250F oven for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Remove from oven to cool. When cool, break apart. Store in air tight container.
Light corn syrup is used when a delicately sweet flavor is desired, dark when a more robust caramel flavor and darker color is desired.
