Sams # on shrimp =624782 (Sarasota 980061689)
Serve each person about 8-10 shrimp.
One cup dry grits = 4 cups cooked
*500 oz. = 16 of the 32 oz boxes or 10 of the 49.5 ounce cans chicken broth
Bring chicken broth to a boil over medium- high heat; slowly stir in grits. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Remove from heat; stir in salt and next 4 ingredients. Set aside and keep warm.
Cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan. BUT PLEASE SAVE THE GREASE TO COOK shrimp in.
Sprinkle shrimp with some Old Bay before putting in bacon grease.
Under cook shrimp and then take out, set aside and then saute VEGGIES IN Bacon fat. also.
Prepare with bacon grease. COOK ROTEL, LEMON JUICE, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, FRESH PARSLEY, GREEN ONIONS, CHOPPED GARLIC about 3 minutes. Hold.
Add green onions and parsley last.
Spoon grits into rimmed soup bowls, make indent in top and top with a ladle of the shrimp mixture.
Serve immediately.
Notes: If using Hormel thick sliced: 10 lb = 155 slices -which is needed for 100 servings
