1. Melt butter in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, peppers and cook about 10 minutes or until soft. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt.
2. Add the vegetables and all other ingredients into the slow cooker and heat to desired temperature to serve.
