Preheat oven to 350F (325F if using glass).
Melt chocolate with 6 tablespoons butter over low heat and stir constantly. Cool.
Cream remaining butter and cream cheese. Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar. Blend in 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons flour, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Set aside.
Beat 4 eggs until thickened and light; gradually add and beat in 1-1/2 cups sugar. Blend baking powder, salt, and 1 cup flour; add to egg mixture. Blend in chocolate mixture, nuts, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and almond extract. Spread half of batter in greased 9x13 pan. Spread cream cheese mixture over. Spoon on remaining batter and zig zag three layers with spatula for a marble effect. Bake 30-40 minutes. Cool before cutting.
