Suggest a better descriptionSprinkle yeast over water. Stir in 1 cup of flour, milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and 1 egg. Beat until smooth. Set aside.
Cut chilled butter into 4 cups of flour. Pour yeast batter over mixture; carefully blend. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or up to 3 days.
Press down to get air out. Divide into fourths. Roll into 17 inch circle. Cut into 8 pieces of pit. Roll up; brush with egg mixture. Rise for 30-40 minutes.
Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes; maybe more.
