Preheat oven to 350F.
Mash banana. Add sugars, egg, butter and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients (except chips / nuts) and add to wet ingredients. Mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips or nuts (or both). Scoop into muffin tins and bake for 20 - 23 mins.
