A chocolate chip cookie with a variety of textures and flavors. Our AFS son's favorites while he was with us.

Preheat the oven to 375*. Lightly grease of line with parchment two baking sheets.
In a large bowl, cream to together the butter, sugars, and molasses.
Add, the eggs and beat until smooth, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl to make sure everything is thoroughly combnined.
Mix in the flours, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add the cornflakes, oatmeal, and chocolate chips, stirring until evenly blended.
Scoop the dough by the heaping tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheets and bake until golden brown about 10 minutes for softer cookies or up to 16 minutes for crisper cookies.
Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks. Yeilds 41/2 dozen.
