In a large skillet, cook beef until brown. Drain off fat.
Transfer meat to a large slow cooker (6 to 8 quart). Add the remaining ingredients to the cooker.
Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 7 to 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
Note: This recipe can easily be halved and put into a smaller sized slow cooker, if desired. If you don't have a slow cooker, you could also place ingredients into a large pot and cook on stovetop over low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
