Suggest a better description1. Peel, core, and slice your pears into thin slices. Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in a large pan and add pears, rosemary, and brown sugar. Cook until pears are cooked through and sauce us light brown.
2. Generously butter a 9x13" casserole dish. Arrange about half of your bread over the bottom. Spoon pear mixture over your bread slices. Sprinkle with chopped brie.
3. Cover with your remaining bread slices.
4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the milk, eggs, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
5. Brush the top of the casserole with your melted butter. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and sugar.
6. Slowly and gently, pour your egg mixture over your casserole. At this point, you can cover and refrigerate the casserole up to 24 hours. Refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the bread to absorb the liquid.
7. To cook your casserole, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Uncover and bake about 45 minutes, or until puffy and edges are golden.
8. Serve warm with maple syrup.
