1) Heat butter over medium heat in a shallow pan.
2) In a wide bowl whip together eggs, milk, and vanilla.
3) Dip both sides of bread in egg mixture, then fry in pan on both sides until light brown.
Freeze cooked pieces on a cookie sheet for 1 hour first. Store for 1 month.
