Make ahead and freeze until ready to cook.
Mix shortening and flour together with your fingers or pastry blender. Add milk - will be a sticky dough. Place on lightly floured board; handle gently until firm enough to roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits, place on cookie sheet and freeze 1 to 2 hours. When frozen, remove and place in plastic bag. When ready to cook, remove the amount of biscuits needed and place on pan in COLD oven. Do not preheat oven. Turn oven to 450 degrees and bake. Biscuits will be ready in 15-20 minutes. This recipe makes 20 regular size biscuits.
