Sue Kosobud's recipe
Mix first 4 ingredients together. Stir in the baking soda that has been dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water. Then add the dry ingredients that been sifted together. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. chill dough for a little while. Drop rounded teaspoon fulls 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake until set -- just until - when touched lightly with finger, almost no imprint remains. (At 350 degrees for about 10 minutes).
While slightly warm, frost with quick cream icing:
- 3/4 Cup sifted powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
