Suggest a better descriptionCombine potatoes and broth in 4 quart stockpot. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Mash the potatoes with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the half and half. Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the green onions, white onion and celery. Saute until the vegetables are tender. Add to the soup and stir to mix well. Add more broth if the soup is too thick.
