Faster, easier Chicken Tikka Masala
Source: Hardip Bellamy
~ Mix yogurt with garlic, ginger, chilli, dry spices, salt and lemon ( I like to do this in a ziploc bag)
~ Mix into the cut chicken coating all pieces of chicken on all sides
~ Cover and leave in fridge for at least an hour or two. Overnight is best if you’ve planned ahead
~ Using skewers, slide one piece on at a time
~ Repeat until all chicken is on a skewer and BBQ or cook in the oven at 450f
~ TOP TIP If cooking in the oven, balance the skewers on top the oven tray creating a gap in between chicken and surface of bottom of tray. This will prevent burning and allow chicken to char slightly
~ Turn the skewers after 15 minutes and cook for a further 10 minutes
The original advises you can leave out the chili powder to make it milder, I , OTOH, have been know to add a few dashes of Aleppo pepper.
