Suggest a better descriptionIn a mixing bowl beat margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add about half of the flour, the brown sugar, egg, milk, vanilla, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Beat till thoroughly combined. Beat in remaining flour. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes or till edges are lightly browned. Cool cookies on a rack.
