Long, social, participatory meal wherein food is cooked at the table in large pot of boiling water. Requires electric hot pot, utensils or wire baskets to remove cooked food.
1. Cilantro, green onions, soy sauce, and "BBQ" sauce are offered for individuals to make dipping sauce.
2. Other ingredients (except noodles, cabbage, dofu, snow peas) are cooked at the table in large hot pot seasoned with ginger. Host oversees the hot pot, monitoring cooking times, ensuring raw foods do not contaminate food to be immediately removed. Cooked foods are dipped in individuals' sauces.
3. Later in the meal, noodles, cabbage, dofu, and snow peas are added to the pot to create a noodle soup. These remaining hot pot contents, including broth, are dished into individuals' dipping bowls where they mix with remaining dipping sauce to create delicious, seasoned noodle soup.
