Suggest a better description1. Apply cooking spray to two baking pans (jelly roll pans).
2. Preheat oven to 350° F.
3. Melt butter and set aside to cool.
4. Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside.
5. Beat eggs well with electric mixer, add extracts and anise seed.
6. Add sugar, then cooled butter. Mix well.
7. Add flour and baking powder, about a half a cup at a time. Mix well.
8. Add almonds to combine.
9. Form into logs about 2" diameter and 12" long.
10. Place 2 rolls per cookie sheet.
11. Bake at 350° F. for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
12. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack.
13. Cut into 3/4" diagonal slices and place back on cookie sheet and toast at 400° F. for approx. 6-10 minutes until slightly toasted. Turn slices over about half way through the toasting cycle.
14. Store in airtight containers.
